Keep Calm and Carry On

image found here

I know this saying and print have been around FOREVER and to be honest I have found it a bit annoying because I see it all the time. But I do enjoy the "spoofs". But these last few weeks and days, especially, it has been playing in the back of my head.

I am currently 40 weeks and 2 days pregnant...yes which means I'm overdue. With my daughter I was 4 days early because I had pre-eclampsia so they had to induce me. It came out of no where and I have been hoping this whole pregnancy that I would just go into labor on my own. But now I just want a baby on the outside of my body. I am officially on maternity leave from my day job and my mother is here for a month to help so I feel it's a perfect time for baby to arrive but instead he is being stubborn. I was told if he does not come on his own I will be induced next week. It's nice to have a definite end date but I really don't want to have to wait that long. It's also really hard because this pregnancy has just been more intense and difficult than my first. The first trimester I could barely function because of morning sickness and extreme exhaustion. Now I can barely walk due to nerve pain...oh and my ginormous belly :) I have contractions off and on but they go now where and I'm a hormonal mess. I've broken down a few times these last couple of weeks for lots of reasons related to this pregnancy but currently it's the feeling that I'm wasting time. I feel like everything is in place and since he isn't here I shouldn't be sitting at home I should be doing something. Well more like I only have so much time off from my day job and I feel like I'm wasting that time since I could technically be working that job right now.

I'm trying to take my mom's advice and use this time to get some of Munchkin's birthday party projects done (I am a last minute person, which always leads to stress and chaos the night before her birthday parties) and also get stuff photographed and ready to go for both the shops. It is nice to get "ahead" or at least not behind or rushing to photograph and list things but still I have so many things I want to add to my shops but I'm trying to be realistic therefor I am holding off on listing stuff until after the baby comes so I will have a better idea of how my days are going to go. But the longer I wait for baby the more anxious I get. So I just chug along and try to be patient and more positive than negative.

I really just needed to vent and get that off my chest. Thank you for letting me have a post to do that with.

Now don't forget to enter for a chance to win my full Happy Halloween printable party collection. Giveaway ends 9/25/2011 @ 10 PST.

September Freebie!!!

I have been trying to figure out a freebie to offer this month. Then it hit me, thanks to a wonderful customer of mine. I had a customer order a set of Stuck In The Middle Candy Bar Wraps and Stuck In The Middle Mini Candy Bars. She ordered them in anticipation of the upcoming birth of her baby. They were to be gifts for visitors. Such a cute idea I created some candy bar wraps to coordinate with some prints I made for our soon-to-be bundle of joy (I will share those with you later I promise!).

So I decided to whip up some chocolate bar wraps, that can be used as baby shower favors or gifts for hospital visitors. Who needs cigars when you can have chocolate!!

There is a set for girls and boys, each comes in 5 pastel colors. ENJOY (and as always I would love to see how you guys use freebies and  products purchased in my shops!)

Yippie For September!!!

Welcome September! As much as I feel like it's taken forever for you to get here, I also feel like time is flying by. September brings many great things... if you ask me it brings a new little munchkin around the house, another year married, time off from my day job, my mom coming to stay for a while, birthdays and hopefully new opportunities. If you ask my husband, it brings a new phone :)

With that in mind I do plan on making some slight changes to the both shops. I don't plan on closing With Envy Parties for maternity leave. This is my second and since my items are digital/printables it doesn't really take too much adjusting to get things done (I hope). But I will be adjusting my shipping times until I know what my baby schedule will be. I am still open to rush jobs, but please contact me before ordering. I am thinking about declining any custom work until after the baby comes though.

As far as With Envy Paper goes, I will be honest, I have not been putting as much energy there. But there are reasons for that. There are so many new products and items I am working on but realistically I won't be launching them until after the baby comes. I opened With Envy Paper early because I am an impatient person, but I'm not putting too much pressure on myself to really promote it until I get the new stuff in  and take some new photos of the old stuff. So with that said I will be closing that shop until the baby comes, because I am nervous about being able to actually ship items on a time schedule when I really have no idea when this little monster will make his debut. But I guarantee once it opens back up there will be lots of new stuff!

I offered two Freebies in August and did not have anything planned for September (there will be lots of holiday freebies coming). But I'm trying to figure out something good to offer. Suggestions are welcomes!!

Don't forget to check out the Freebie sections for past Freebies!
